Medicine
If your child needs to take prescription or over the counter medicine, it must be in the original container or prescription bottle and a note sent with it from the parent/guardian or doctor stating the time and the amount to be given. The medicine will not be administered otherwise.  All medicine will be taken and kept in the office.  It is strongly suggested that a parent bring the medicine to school and not send it on the bus.  This includes aspirin, cough drops, etc.  Tylenol is given to students with headaches only if they have a signed permission note from their parents and doctor.  A record is kept of each student's use of Tylenol and a note sent home to parents who request it. A note will be sent home if the medication is given after 2:00 pm, so there is no chance of an overdose.  Please do not send your child to school if they are running a fever or vomiting ... this will cut down on the virus being spread to other students and staff. If you have any questions, please call the Caldwell County Health Department at 586-2311.
